First Impressions
The Krafted Couch feels like one of those ideas that’s so obvious you wonder why it didn’t exist already. It’s a slim, flexible wireless charger designed to rest neatly on the arm of your sofa, turning the place you relax most into a convenient charging spot.
Out of the box, it feels premium and well thought out — a smooth, slightly grippy silicone material that bends naturally to fit most furniture. Despite its lightweight 180g build, it stays firmly in place thanks to an anti-slip ridge underneath.
I tested the Latte version, which has a warm, neutral tone that looks right at home in a modern living room. It’s understated, subtle, and blends easily into light-coloured fabrics or wooden armrests — the kind of finish that looks more like home décor than a tech accessory.
Setup & Everyday Use
Setup is as simple as it gets. Plug in the included 2-metre USB-C cable to any decent wall adapter (9V–2A recommended), drop the pad over your sofa arm, and you’re good to go. Place your phone down and charging starts instantly.
It’s MagSafe compatible, so iPhones snap neatly into place, while Android devices charge just as reliably. The pad supports multiple output levels — 15W for iPhone, 10W for Android, with adaptive steps down to 7.5W or 5W for smaller devices.
In real use, my phone gained roughly 30% in half an hour. That’s perfectly fine for casual top-ups during an evening film, even if it’s not as fast as a high-wattage wired charger (which is to be expected given the wireless loss).
Across several couches — a corduroy arm, a narrow modern one, and a chunkier leather design — the Krafted Couch stayed secure. On softer or rounded arms it may tilt slightly, but it never slipped or felt unstable.
Design & Build
Measuring 100mm x 400mm x 11mm, the Krafted Couch is slim enough to disappear visually, yet large enough to comfortably fit any phone. The silicone has a soft-touch feel that’s satisfying to the hand, almost like a high-end mouse mat, with enough friction to stop both the charger and your phone from sliding.
The colour options — Latte, Matcha, and Deep Blue — strike the right tone between lifestyle and tech. They’re muted, natural, and clearly designed to complement your space rather than dominate it. It’s a rare example of a piece of tech that looks designed for a living room, not repurposed from an office.
Performance & Practicality
In day-to-day use, the Krafted Couch strikes a nice balance between style and practicality. It never overheated during longer charges, and the power output stayed consistent throughout testing.
Wireless charging will always lag behind wired options in sheer speed, but the convenience factor here makes up for it. It’s the kind of product you forget is there until you need it — and that’s exactly the point. The 2-metre cable also makes it easy to shift around your setup, from sofa to bedside or even desk use, without hunting for outlets.
The Verdict
The Krafted Couch is an elegant, genuinely useful bit of kit that rethinks where and how we charge our devices. It’s not aiming to be the fastest charger — it’s aiming to be the most comfortable, and in that sense it absolutely succeeds.
At £39.99, it’s priced a little higher than most standard wireless pads, but it earns that through its design, materials, and versatility. If you value products that look like they belong in your home rather than your workspace, the Krafted Couch is worth the spot on your armrest.
