Wireless Stereo Headsets + Ultra Slim Charger
In the world of gaming, there are a plethora of accessories available, however none more useful than headsets and controller chargers.
That is where PDP Gaming comes in to save the day.
I was asked to review their LVL50 Wireless Stereo Headsets for Xbox and Playstation, as well as their Ultra Slim Charge System, which I quickly accepted.
Play at the top of your game with dynamic 50mm High-Definition stereo drivers for clear and balanced audio
Flexible noise-cancelling mic with on-ear audio controls for quick and easy adjustments
Works wirelessly with the Xbox One Console via USB dongle up to 40 feet
Experience unbeatable comfort during long gaming sessions with its lightweight build and breathable nylon-mesh ear cushions
Weighs 0.7 lbs
Long lasting battery life up to 16 hours
Personally I find a headset a necessity for gaming nowadays, communication is key, as well as having the presence that is offered by headphones.
The PDP Gaming LVL50 Wireless Stereo Headset for both Xbox One and PS4 are essentially identical, bar the traditional colours of Green for Xbox and Blue for Playstation.
I'll give you my thoughts on the Xbox version but you can mirror them for the Playstation side.
They are well constructed, light, comfortable on ears (especially with the breathable mesh on the cups) and an adjustable headband to fit even my large head.
The headband is padded and comfy, the earcups encapsulate your ears but don't make them overheat like a lot of these headsets in the price range can.
The microphone is attached to the side, it is a gooseneck and fits nicely infront of your mouth without being too close, it is also able to be rolled backwards out of the way, which initiates an auto mute!
They connect wirelessly by using a simple included USB dongle that you plug into your system of choice and it has a rock solid connection from my experience, not even one drop in an entire week.
The sound quality is remarkable, they rival some dedicated headphones I've been using for listening to my console, there is also the option to add a bass boost mode but I personally see that as overkill. The bass on the standard mode is perfect for me.
Specifically gave it a strong testing in some first person shooters, like the new Call of Duty and I could hear peoples steps before they knew where I was, hearing bullets ricocheting, explosions billowing and action all around was really visceral.
Overall, very solid headset, great features, comfy and awesome sound quality.
Highly recommend this for Xbox and Playstation users.

Magnetic ports for optimal connection and charging
Micro-suction material on the bottom to keep charging base in place
Ambient light around the base with auto-dim technology that adapts to surrounding light conditions
LED charge indicators that breathe while charging
Now for someone who's a big gamer, you will all have been witness to the dreaded 'Controller Battery Low' message. I've combatted this in the past with cheap battery packs but found that they don't last anywhere near as long as the standard battery solutions.
PDP Gaming has a set for Playstation and Xbox that comes with an ultra slim design, so no more of these bulky cheap plastic sets that feel like they'll snap in your hands.
This is a serious bit of kit, super slimline, fits the back of the controller perfectly and looks good doing it.
It has a micro-suction material on the bottom to prevent slippage, the light on the base is dim enough to not distract you but enables you to know if it's charging and if it's full.
The ports are also magnetic so when you slip in the controller it lands on the right parts each time.
Take out your current batteries, put in the new battery pack, close it with the special backing cover and you are set to go.
After each gaming session just simply place your controller on the dock and you are going to be charging. Simple as that.
I havent run out of juice in over a week just by remembering to place my controller on the dock, I love it, takes out the hassle of changing batteries, plugging in packs etc.
Great addition to my gaming setup and I'd recommend you check them out if you are bored of having to charge your controllers the old fashioned away!
